One of the world’s most recognized and socially conscious brands was looking for a cost-effective way to promote its “Give Peace a Chance” campaign in partnership with the Lennon Estate and Peace One Day Partners.
We helped them restage John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s famous Bed-in For Peace event with a 31-foot-long glass truck, the “Bed-In-Mobile,” that attracted consumer and media attention in New York City.
During the media event at the Times Square scoop shop, media were invited onto the vehicle to interview company co-founder Jerry Greenfield along with actress and peace activist Maggie Gyllenhaal, founder of Peace One Day Jeremy Gilley, and the original photographer from Lennon’s 1969 Montreal Bed-in, Roy Kerwood.
The result? According to our client, “This media event was much more cost effective than buying traditional media!“ The program more than doubled website traffic goals and media pickup, with coverage in over 500 media outlets and 65.5 million media impressions.
