Moroney joins TBA Global from Polychrome Los Angeles where he was Managing Director, leading branding and new media initiatives across multiple channels from print and web to e-commerce, mobile, TV and radio. With extensive experience in B2B, B2C, music, entertainment and video technology, Moroney has developed new media services and integrated marketing strategies for such diverse clients as Time Warner, Warner Bros., Bank of America, Intel, Amnesty International, Hear Music/Starbucks, and the EMI Group. In his new role, Michael will lead the Digital Media team, helping TBA Global clients develop and implement innovative, compelling digital solutions. He will be based in New York City.
“We’re thrilled to have Michael join TBA Global,” said Lee Rubenstein, President and COO of TBA Global. “He represents the critical crossroads where digital application and design meet accessible, engaging and well distributed content. These services will enhance every client program we touch.“
Earlier in his career, Michael spent 15 years working in B2B and B2C markets launching large audience websites and new media services for leading brands including Apple, RealNetworks, Macromedia/Adobe and Microsoft. In 1997 Michael helped co-found and launch two of the first online services offering music downloads, AWAL (Artists Without a Label) and Artistone.com.
“What makes TBA Global powerful is the experiences they design and produce for their clients,“ commented Moroney. “TBA Global traditionally creates the heart and brain of brand expression via their programs, and digital media is the circulatory system that ties those elements together and creates fully integrated audience experiences. I look forward to helping our clients navigate the shifting landscape of new technologies and social networks to the advantage of their brand.“
Michael was co-chair of the Technical Positioning Group of the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Forum and has lectured at UC Berkeley and The Stanford Business School regarding new media technologies and entertainment business models.
