Each July, an international insurance provider brings 1,200 of its policyholder-owners together with its executives for an annual conference. And it desires a destination that’s sure to appeal not only to attendees, but to their families as well. So the firm turned to TBA Global to create a fabulous event—but without overshadowing the business elements of the program.
With San Francisco as the destination, we scoured the city to find a gala-event venue that would provide sophistication and local flavor—and enough space to handle over 1,000 people, including children of all ages. The famed DeYoung Museum of Art in Golden Gate Park was the choice, and we brought in interactive entertainment to complement the incredible artwork within the museum. From wine-tasting stations and buffets to musical acts, psychics, and even face painters, the event had something to excite everyone.
This amazing, interactive program was complemented by half-day tours for the families: in San Francisco Bay via kayaks, in the Sausalito countryside, and at the famed Alcatraz island prison.
The Result
Even for the repeat attendees in the group, the 2008 event was truly unique and memorable—93 percent said the program surpassed their expectations.
