Strategic EventsThe leading global provider of business information solutions is also renown for its social responsibility. For their 2008 Global Leadership Summit, TBA Global partnered to develop a management summit that would not only educate and inspire, but reinforce its core values of social responsibility in a meaningful way.
We began in New Orleans – a perfect setting for a global company looking to “improve the lives of others in local and global communities". To kick off the 3-day meeting, part of the agenda included a teambuilding event that gave back. We found a neighborhood most affected by Hurricane Katrina – with 100% of the homes fully flooded under 25' of water – and designed a park refurbishing event to overhaul an important local landmark, the St. Bernard Community Playground.
The group was divided into several teams and all attendees rolled up their sleeves. Global executives worked alongside community members and local employees to completely transform the community park in an afternoon. Landscaping was installed, structures were stabilized, the playground swings were repainted, as well as debris being cleaned up and hauled away.
The result was an Extreme Makeover-style overhaul. Afterwards, our client remarked, “It was one of the most memorable and meaningful projects that we have taken on in our history, and I think our folks left that day knowing they had made a real difference in a New Orleans Parish. The event would clearly not have been as successful without your community connections, your persistence and professionalism and most of all your passion for the project. You have some of the most professional, organized and down right friendly teams that I’ve worked with and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every minute with you, including the stressful ones.”
