Five B2B Trends in Content, Social Media in 2011

According to Forbes, only 12% of marketers at B2B companies say they are using social media effectively.  Whoa.  But not surprising.

The biggest problem with their social media strategy may be with the content they choose to share. According to MarketingProfs, while most B2B marketers understand they need to also be ‘publishers’ of content (88% said they used content marketing), they also acknowledged their biggest issue is to create engaging content that connects with their audience.

To be effective, the subject must be interesting and the delivery slightly surprising. Think about infographics, video and images.  For many of our B2B clients, the assets we create are cross-utilized across social media and other sales conversations.

Because B2B isn’t really B2B, is it?  It’s B2P -Business-to-People.
